Schedule your evaluation for times when your child is typically most alert and cooperative—bring snacks if needed to keep them comfortable. Don’t forget to bring any necessary aids and devices your child regularly uses, such as glasses, hearing aids, AAC devices, or communication tools.
Most importantly, frame the evaluation positively for your child—tell them they’ll be playing games and having fun! Our testing rooms are playful, colorful, and designed to feel engaging rather than clinical.
